PropaGATE

Join Western Australia’s First Landing Pad focused on improving agrifood systems

Current Challenge

Bringing the world’s best wastewater technologies to WA’s meat processing industry

Meat processing is a critical industry for Western Australia, and while many processors have systems in place to manage their wastewater, changing regulations, ambitions to grow operations and maintain a high standard on-site mean that many processors are regularly looking at improving their systems with technology.

This is where the PropaGATE Landing Pad comes in.

Funded by the South-West WA Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA), PropaGATE is supporting businesses with innovative wastewater technology to explore opportunities in the Western Australian market.

We are inviting all international and Australian innovators with commercial-ready wastewater technology applicable for meat processing to apply now.

Applications are currently open and close 24 April 5pm AWST.

Previous Challenge

Bringing global innovations to transform Western Australia’s brewing industry.

PropaGATE is Western Australia’s first agtech focused landing pad bringing the world’s best technologies and solutions.

After two months of deep industry consultation, the first challenge that rose: Wastewater treatment in breweries.

While it started with beer, the impact flows through farms, communities, and ecosystems. Many brewers want better solutions but don’t know where to start.

So, we opened the call and innovators from over 15 countries responded with sustainable, cost-effective wastewater solutions for WA breweries. We sponsored the trip for four top solutions to Perth to present at the innovator showcase.
