Background

Livecorp is the peak industry body representing the Australian live export industry. Livecorp had a huge challenge to reduce heat stress for sheep exports from Australia to the Middle East. Beanstalk reviewed more than 150 solution providers from across 27 industry segments. Beanstalk uncovered a diverse range of technology providers, conducted due diligence and developed a commercial trial of four technologies across environmental monitoring, biometric sensors, voyage route planning, data analytics/AI and industrial dehumidification.

Outcome

Four rapid technology trials were undertaken in a short time span of 3 months. This involved a significant capital deployment in Dubai for industrial dehumidification adapted from the mining industry. These trials led to the adoption of 2 lot cost high impact solutions, and paved the way for further thermodynamic modelling that had not been undertaken before in the past.
